CPO Limited Vehicle Warranty
Each Mazda Certified Pre-Owned vehicle receives any remaining portion of its original 3-year/36,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The CPO Limited Vehicle Warranty then provides another 12 months or up to 12,000 miles of coverage.
If the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty has already expired when you purchase the vehicle, Mazda states that the CPO Limited Vehicle Warranty begins at the time of purchase.

CPO Limited Powertrain Warranty
The powertrain warranty uses the vehicle's original in-service date. Its seven years or 100,000 miles are measured from when the Mazda was originally purchased as new, whichever comes first.
Buying a three-year-old CPO Mazda does not restart a seven-year term. That is why we look at the actual vehicle's age and mileage with you instead of quoting the warranty headline without context.
